Appointment of Denis Djomo to General Counsel for Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa
We are pleased to announce that Mr Denis Djomo, one of West Africa's most highly regarded attorneys and a prominent member of the business community, has been appointed as General Counsel for Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa .
Denis will serve as a Senior Advisor on public policy, corporate governance, economic and trade matters.
Denis is well known for his extensive legal experience in the government and business sector in both regional and international markets and will provide valuable insight in the areas of public and economic policy.

Expanding in West Africa
B.A.G.S. Sari Consulting (Canada) Ltd. and Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa have now moved into their new offices located at 04 B.P. 4232, Cotonou, Benin.
The inauguration of the new office was attended by both dignitaries and representatives of various government departments and the local business community.
February 2009
"Focus Group’Workshop": to discuss the upcoming design-build Hospital Projects in West Africa, was held in Vancouver.
The workshop was inaugurated by Brian Foster, Chairman of HPCWA.
“Outside of the framework of conducting business in West Africa, we want to see the region have quality hospital environments that are family-friendly, create employment, and assist the governments within their healthcare program goals….” – Brian Foster
Dr. Khalil Parkar, Chief Executive Officer & Medical Planner of HPCWA set the Objectives and Goals for the various focus groups.

The Workshop was moderated by Gunnar Mardon, Senior Vice President (Hospital Planning Operations), HPCWA.
January 2009: - PBS Engineers Inc., a full service Design Engineering firm from California, USA and Dr. Khalil Parkar finalize their scope of work and Memorandum of Understanding for the Proposed Hospital Project in Cotonou, Benin. Signing takes place in Vancouver, Canada
- The Gouvernement du Benin formalizes its contract with B.A.G.S. Sari Consulting (Canada) Ltd. and the Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa to plan, design, and build a 600 bed hospital within Benin.
November 2008:
FNDA Architecture Inc. of Vancouver Canada and Dr. Khalil Parkar finalize their scope of work and Memorandum of Understanding for the Proposed Hospital Project in Cotonou, Benin. Signing takes place in Vancouver, Canada.
July 2008:
Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa releases their Request for Qualifications for local Benin architects and engineers to submit their qualifications to the Company.
April 2008:
B.A.G.S. Sari Consulting (Canada) Ltd. and Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gouvernement du Benin and the Ministere de la Sante to Design Build a 600 bed Hospital in Cotonou, Benin.
January 2008:
B.A.G.S. Sari Consulting (Canada) Ltd., and its subsidiary, Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa, fulfils the requirements for membership with the West African Health Organization.
The West African Health Organization (WAHO) was formed in 1987 when the Heads of State and Government from all 15 countries in the Economic Community of West African States adopted the Protocol creating the organization. The Protocol, which was subsequently ratified by each government in the sub-region, grants WAHO status as a specialized agency of ECOWAS.
B.A.G.S. Sari Consulting (Canada) Ltd. and Hospital Planning Corporation West Africa share the objectives and values of WAHO i.e. “to attain the highest possible standards and protection of health of the peoples in the sub region serving ECOWAS member states Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
September 2007:
Dr. Khalil Parkar announces that his hospital planning group shall provide comprehensive turn-key services through Medical Planning, Design Architecture & Engineering, and Construction of medical facilities in West Africa.
